ECTM

Modern engine maintenance approach is combination of on-condition and also condition monitoring concept. You can wait for a failure (on condition) or you can predict a failure (condition monitoring). Engine Condition Trend Monitoring (ECTM) is a technique to continuously monitor the health of engines in order to find symptoms of damage, deterioration or excessive wear. By monitoring a known set of parameters, usually altitude, outside air temperature (OAT), air speed, ITT, N1/N2 RPMs, fuel flow and vibrations, it’s possible to predict needed maintenance before a failure occurs.

An effective ECTM program consists of four parts:

VISTA has developed engine monitoring and diagnostics services, based on the analysis of technical and flight data, along with recommendations for fleet maintenance or management.

Our ECTM services including generation of warnings, customer notifications and recommended maintenance actions. As part of our Fleet management services, VISTA regularly receives flight data from the operator in real time. We analyze this data and, if needed, propose corrective actions.

There is possibility for the operators to perform remote borescope inspection, so that local borescopers at airlines can consult with VISTA engine experts in the least possible time.

As a result the engine life and mean time between shop visit will be increased, maintenance overall cost will be decreased and finally the main domain of aircraft maintenance would be efficiently managed.
